February 2019 - Looking for something different in 2019 ? - become and accredited i-act instructor!
Apply now for a place on our accredited i-act instructor training in Central London from the 18th to the 21st of February 2019. We have limited spaces available and we also have some discounted places available for not-for-profit organisations who can demonstrate that they will make a real difference to people's lives through the i-act training.

January 2019 - i-act course manual achieves ISBN and catalogue record in The British Library
The i-act courses come with a 168-paged i-act course manual, toolkit and resource pack (hard-copy format for each participant). i-act are thrilled to announce that this manual has now been assigned an International Standard Book Number (ISBN)
by Nielsen UK and a catalogue record for this manual is available from The British Library.

January 2019 - i-act launch new updated online resources
After completing an accredited i-act (for positive mental health and wellbeing) training course you become a registered i-act manager/practitioner. Once registered you gain free access to all of the online i-act resources. Here you can watch the video clips again, download electronic copies of the i-act managers tools, forms and resources and download the i-act mental health and wellbeing posters and literature to use within your workplace. Log on now with your password and start to enjoy the benefits.

November 2018 - Congratulations to staff at Linc Housing Association
Congratulations to the staff at Linc Housing Association who decided to train ALL of their Executive Staff, Senior Managers and Line-Mangers in the i-act course for managers. They have also adopted the i-act course for employees and front-line workers and have dedicated Wellbeing Champions. It’s great to see Linc Housing leading the way in adopting such pro-active approaches for promoting positive mental health and wellbeing at work.
October 2018 - Congratulations to our new i-act instructors
Due to an increase in demand i-act decided to hold two additional cohorts of the accredited i-act instructor training. We were delighted to train instructors from the private, public and third-sectors, including instructors from Sandwell Council, environmental bodies, freelancers and mindfulness practitioners. This cohort of i-act instructor training saw i-act instructors from England, Scotland and Wales. Once you are accredited as an i-act instructor, you can deliver the i-act course anywhere in the UK and internationally (with NO separate or additional licence and training fees). So congratulations to our new i-act instructors who are now keen to deliver the accredited i-act training across the UK and internationally.

i-act has recently commissioned several new explainer videos, one explaining the continuum model of mental health, one explaining the difference between low mood and depression and this one exploring how the i-act tools can help when having a conversation with someone about their mental health and wellbeing. Once you have completed your i-act training, you can gain access to all of these videos and other i-act resources via the i-act managers and practitioners online resources section of this website.
August 2018 - funding from the Construction Industry Training Board for i-act training
Thanks to funding from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and the Construction Wales Innovation Centre (CWIC) in partnership with Coleg y Cymoedd, funding has been secured to provide the i-act training to those in the construction industry. It’s fantastic to see the construction sector engaging so heavily with i-act all over the UK.
July 2018 - Exciting times for the accreditation of i-act training
i-act is pleased to announce that, following the necessary assessments and protocols with a leading UK accreditation body, the evidence-based i-act training will be fully accredited within the next few months. Watch this space.........
July 2018 - Sees demand for the i-act instructor training increase
Our October cohorts for the i-act (for positive mental health and wellbeing) instructor training are selling out fast. There are now no places available on the July 2018 dates. Contact us for an application pack, to attend the October 2018 dates in London or Cardiff and train your workforce or deliver i-act training freelance across the whole UK. Once assessed, approved and licenced as an i-act instructor you will receive your i-act instructor toolkit (pictured below) and be able to deliver the i-act training anywhere in the UK.

i-act where thrilled to exhibit at the 'Better mental health for all' conference on the 6th June 2018 at The Kings Fund in London. Run in partnership with the Mental Health Foundation, the Centre for Mental Health and Public Health England, this event explored how NHS organisations, local authorities, the voluntary sector and others can work together to prevent mental ill health and promote positive mental wellbeing in local communities.

Throughout May 2018 ateb are training over 90 employees in the i-act practitioners programme and over 30 managers and executives in the i-act managers programme.

June 2018 - Cardiff Metropolitan University embedding i-act
After a successful pilot in December 2017, Cardiff Metropolitan University are now offering the i-act training to all of their managers. Already we have delivered 6 sessions of the i-act training for managers and have more sessions scheduled - fantastic.
